Emergency traffic restrictions have been introduced in a Southend road as sewer rerpairs are carried out for almost a week.
The urgent sewer repairs started today (June 14) in Park Lane, forcing the road to close for cars from house numbers 45 to 55.
All vehicles are also banned from turning right into Park Lane from Southchurch Hall Close.

The notice doesn't apply to any reasonable access requirements by residents, and access will remain for emergency services.
It is anticipated that the works will last for six days.
An alternative route for traffic will be marked on site and Highways bosses promise resident access will be maintained where possible.
