Vision Zero is Essex Police’s commitment to achieving safer roads in the county and lowering the number of road deaths each year.
By 2040, the force wants there to be zero deaths on roads in Essex.
On the Vision Zero day, an Essex Police spokesman added on Facebook: "Some of our traffic officers are also out across the division reinforcing road safety, so far 40 drivers have been spoken to as they were not wearing seatbelts. Please drive safely on our roads."
