South Essex magistrates have seen a number of cases of drivers using their mobiles at the wheel.

Here's our round up of south Essex drivers who have been sentenced for the crime.

Karra Gentles, 32, of Hardy Court, Southend was in court for the driving offence.

Ross Lewis, 43, of Hamstel Road, Southend was in court charged with using a handheld mobile phone or device while driving a motor vehicle on a road.

On June 11 2021 in Byfleet in Surrey, he drove a car while he was using a hand-held mobile telephone.

He was fined £53, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34, and costs of £90.00.

His driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

Tomasz Juskiewicz, 42, of Broscoe Road, Pitsea was in court after using a mobile phone while driving.

On July 1 2021 in Stafford in Staffodshire he drove a car when he was using a hand-held mobile telephone.

He was fined £220, and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £90 and his driving record was endorsed with 6 points.

Amy Hart, 30, of Seven Acres, Wickford, was sentenced for using a phone while at the wheel of a car.

On August 28 2021 in Chelmsford he drove a car on A130, when she was using a hand-held mobile telephone.
