ONE of the biggest outdoor family festivals is returning to Southend this summer.

Raver Tots has announced it will be at Garon Park for their family festival.

The popular event will take place on August 29, between 12.30pm and 5.30pm with tickets on sale from today.

The day is filled with a range of activities including a funfair, inflatables, face painting, and workshops.

There will also be food stalls, juices and ice cream available.

The festival will also include a line-up of different music artists and DJs, who will perform throughout the day to bring a “summer vibe”.

Carole Mulroney, Southend councillor responsible for tourism, said: “Raver Tots is an incredibly popular event with children and their parents and guardians, and I am delighted it is returning once again.

“The day is full of singing, dancing, and generally having a great time, and I’m sure the event will be well attended as always.

“It’s important we continue to provide and support a wide variety of events in the city for different audiences, and Raver Tots is just one of many exciting events lined up this year, so keep an eye out for more events as they’re announced.

“I would like to thank the organiser for once again bringing the show to Southend.

Ticket prices range from £4 up to £25, depending on age and booking fee.

Raver Tots is the UK’s biggest family-friendly party, where kids and adults can hit the dancefloor together.

A spokesman for organiser said it was great to be heading back to Southend.

They said: “We are over the moon to be returning to Southend this year.

“Garon Park has a special place in our hearts as we launched our first festival here.

“We will be bringing the best in house, garage, and drum and bass as well as loads of activities for families to enjoy.

“The fairground rides and other attractions are all included in the ticket price, you could even learn new circus skills or do a DJ workshop.

“Watch out for those dinosaurs though!”
