A TAXI driver has sustained injuries to his hand after being assaulted with an offensive weapon.
Essex Police are investigating an assault that occurred at around 8:40pm on Sunday, June 19, in Gowan Close, Benfleet.
A taxi driver was threatened with an offensive weapon and sustained minor injuries to his hand.

Officers need anyone with information or footage to come forward.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Our enquiries are ongoing, and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam or doorbell footage to get in touch.
“If you have any information, you can submit a report online at https://www.essex.police.uk.
“Please quote incident 1066 of June 19.
“You can also call us on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
