Police officers issued tickets to drivers on Canvey over not wearing seat belts, using mobile phones and numerous other offences in a day of action.
Officers were out in the island yesterday in an operation Vision Zero day.
The roads policing unit were busy educating drivers as part of Essex Police's Vision Zero strategy.

A total of 28 drivers were issued tickets for not wearing a seat belt and 13 for using a mobile phone, among other drivers for numerous other offences.
One driver was even arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, driving without a licence, drug driving and assaulting police
Vision Zero is the ambitious target to achieve zero deaths and serious injuries in Essex roads by 2040.
