An iconic girl group has announced its first tour in two decades and are set to perform in Southend.

Sugababes are hitting the road for a huge headline tour where the three singers will be visiting 17 cities, including Southend.

The group, established  in 1998, are famous for pop hits including 'Round Round', 'Push the Button' and 'About You Now'.

The exciting announcement comes after the group said they will be making an appearance at Glastonbury Festival.

Members Siobhan Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan shared the news on their social media, saying: "We’re so excited to come full circle and announce our own headline UK tour.

"We’ll be hitting the road in October and November - can’t wait to see you all there. Tickets on-sale 1st July, pre-sale signup link in bio."

Their tour starts in Bristol on October 16 and end in Glasgow on November 7. 

The trio will hit the stage at Southend Cliffs Pavilion on October 17.
