GUESTS to the Marlborough Head can enjoy sitting in their newly-renovated garden, which is a sun trap all day long.

The Rochford pub is steeped in history and is the place to go to for traditional pub grub in a friendly atmosphere.

Assistant manager Daniella Wilcox has been at the pub for a year and a half.
She says the pub garden is proving a hit at the moment with customers.
“We took back a lot of the bushes and replaced them with a fence and it has opened up the whole area so much,” said Daniella.
She added: “It is a big garden and it gets the sun all day long, perfect for enjoying food and drinks during the summer.”

The menu includes starters, such as saucy wings and a veggie cauliflower version, and mains, such as Hunter’s Chicken with smoked streaky bacon, barbecue sauce and melted cheese, served with chips, beer battered onion rings and a buttered mini corn on the cob.
There is also chicken tikka masala, served with long grain rice, naan bread, poppadoms and mango chutney.

There is a vast selection of pasta too, with yummy dishes like beef and pancetta lasagne and as well a great choice of pizzas.
They serve a good selection of drinks including the arrival of Inch’s Cider just last week and IPAs which include Beavertown Neck Oil.

They are set to have an all day live music event at the pub on July 16.
