A FITTING celebration in recognition of our inspiring war veterans and those who continue to bravely serve our country took place in Basildon.
Armed Forces Day was commemorated in the town centre today in what was a moving show of appreciation for our servicemen and woman both past and present.
The event was attended by active military personnel, veterans, and residents who all paid their respects to the Armed Forces community.
It saw a parade pass through the town centre and was soundtracked by marching band-style drums.
