Temporary bus stand changes are in place from this week as bosses are brightening up Basildon bus station.

First Essex has apologised for any inconvenience as Basildon bus station's refurbishment started yesterday.

Services will depart from temporary stops as the revamp is set to take place until Autumn.

A First spokesman said:  "We will keep you updated with the progress and keep disruption to a minimum but apologise for any inconvenience that may occur during the process."

The first step of the transformation of the station includes new stands, doors and improved interior and exterior design work.

Stands L, M, N, P, R and Q are closed for refurbishment.

The following buses will stop at these stands during the revamp work:
