A man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a series of deliberate fires in Rayleigh town centre.
Police are no longer looking to identify a man they want to speak to in connection to the fires.
They all happened between 11pm and 11.30pm on Monday (July 4) in Eastwood Road and the High Street.

No-one was injured but business premises and stock were damaged.
A 28-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of arson and is currently in custody.
Police have asked for anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell footage to contact them.
