Police closed off a road near a south Essex train station earlier today after reports of a "suspect package".
Officers were called to reports of a suspect package at Thurrock Council offices in Grays this afternoon.
Police closed off a road near Grays railway station as they dealt with the incident and c2c routes faced cancellations and delays.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were called to reports of a suspect package at Thurrock Council offices in New Road, Grays shortly after 3.30pm today (Monday, July 11).
"Officers attended and established it was a suitcase with nothing suspicious or of concern inside."
Rail replacement buses have been ordered to travel from Purfleet, Tilbury Town and Chafford Hundred.
