Canvey resident captures fox playing swingball in her garden

Tracey Day woke up yesterday morning in her Canvey home to see a fox, she calls Foxy Roxy, playing with the swingball set.

In the video, the fox can be seen jumping and hitting the ball with its nose round the pole.

Mrs Day said the Foxy Roxy has been seen in her garden for almost the past year but was shocked to see it playing swingball.

She said: “I couldn’t believe it.

“When I first saw it playing swingball I thought it was in my mind, as I have not slept much since Friday, so I kind of rubbed my eyes, and looked again, and the fox was still there.

“So, I got out my camera and recorded it through the window, I then pushed my luck to go outside to get a closer video, and the fox didn’t even move, it carried on playing.

“I watched Foxy Roxy play for about 20 minutes.

“When I told my husband he laughed and jokingly said I need sleep, until I showed him the videos and he was also gobsmacked.

“It certainly seems to have made people smile, and Foxy Roxy is now becoming a little star!”
