AN OPENING date has finally been agreed for the re-opening of an Arts and Events Centre in Rayleigh.
The Mill Arts & Events Centre (The Mill) in Rayleigh will re-open to the community with a special Open Day on Sunday, 11th September.
It is part of the council's heritage open day celebrations and open for bookings from Monday, 12th September.
The open day will run from 11am to 3pm and include a host of free fun events, performances, and surprises, with something for everyone.

Mike Webb, councillor responsible for housing, assets and leisure, said: “We have listened to our residents and reopened The Mill.
“I hope that everyone will come down to our Open Day, celebrate its return and support and enjoy this valuable community hub to the full.”
More details on the Open Day will be revealed throughout August.
The council’s leisure and cultural services team are already taking bookings for events and community groups, with priority given to organisations and local groups who used The Mill before its closure.
The core operating hours of The Mill will initially be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.
The Mill is also open for bookings during weekends and evenings.
