AN economics lecturer accused of murdering his wife will return before a judge next month.
Ertan Ersoy, 50, faces a single charge of murder after the death of university lecturer Antonella Castelvedere in Colchester on June 1.
Antonella, an English literature lecturer at the University of Suffolk, was found with fatal injuries in her home.
Police officers arriving at the scene found Ersoy, of Wickham Road, was also injured and he was taken to hospital.

The 50-year-old was subsequently charged with murdering his 52-year-old wife.
Ersoy, a guest economics lecturer at the University of Suffolk, appeared at Chelmsford Crown Court today due to issue a plea on the murder charge.
But Judge Christopher Morgan adjourned proceedings until early September as Ersoy wishes to change his legal representation.
“The next hearing will be on a date in early September,” said the judge.
“[On that date] the court will expect, unless there is good reason, for you to enter your pleas, whatever they may be, to the allegations made against you.”
A provisional trial date has been set for January 9, 2023.
