A POPULAR pub has announced a new policy which sees under 21s banned at all times.
The Hoy and Helmet, in Benfleet, has implemented a new policy which will see the pub be 21+.
The move reportedly follows troubles and incidents at the pub involving those under 21.
There is one exception to the change, and that is under 21s are welcome before 9pm if they are in a family group.

In a statement on their social media, bosses said: “Here at the Hoy we are implementing a new policy.
“Affective from 11am today the pub will be 21+ at all times.
“Although this will not affect our family values as those under 21 are welcome to enjoy the pub in a family group until 9pm.
“If you have any queries, please feel free to contact us and we thank you for your understanding.”s
