South Essex magistrates have seen a number of cases of common assault.

Here's our round up of the south Essex attackers who were sentenced in court.

Stewart Atkinson, 50, of York Road, Southend attacked a woman.

On April 19 in Southend he assaulted the woman.

A community order was made and he was ordered to complete 80 hours of unpaid work, and a restraining order made for the defendant in the following terms: Not to contact the victim directly or indirectly. He was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95 and pay costs of £620 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Nicole Riley, 29, was in court for assaulting a woman.

On September 7 in Southend she assaulted the woman.

She was discharged conditionally for 12 months ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £22 and costs of £105 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Tyler Humphreys, 19, was sentenced for assaulting a man by beating him.

On August 21 in Southend he assaulted a man by beating him.

He was fined £180, ordered to pay compensation of £100, a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and to pay costs of £625 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Harrison Harris, 21, of Swanstead, Basildon was sentenced in court for assaulting a man by beating him.

On March 20 in Basildon he assaulted the victim by beating him.

A community order made and he was ordered to abstain from consuming any alcohol throughout a period of 120 days, participate in the thinking Skills Programme for 19 days and also complete a maximum of 30 days of rehabilitation Activity Requirement.

A restraining order made for the defendant and he was ordered not to contact directly or indirect the victim, he was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95, costs of £105 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

He was also in court charged with commission of a further offence during the operational period of a suspended sentence order. The suspended sentence order was made by South Essex Magistrates Court on April 9 2021 for an offence of sending offensive communication.

He was fined £50.

Cherry Osborne, 37, of Little Searles, Pitsea, was sentenced for assault charges.

It was alleged that on March 14 in Basildon she allegedly assaulted a man.

This offence was amended. This entry replaced by offence number 3.

On the same day and in the town she assaulted a woman.

She was discharged conditionally for 12 months.

On the same day and in the town she assaulted a man by beating him.

She was also discharged conditionally for 12 months and ordered to pay compensation of £50, a surcharge to fund victim services of £22 and costs of £105 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

Charlene Ellis, 39, of East Crescent, Canvey was sentenced in court for attacking a woman.

On September 25 in North Avenue, Canvey she assaulted a woman by beating her.

A community order was made and she was ordered to complete 19 days of the TSP accredited programme, a maximum of 30 days of Rehabilitation Activity Requirement and 100 hours unpaid work.

A restraining order was made for the defendant in the following terms: not to contact the victim or people involved in the case and not to go to their addresses.

She was also ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £95, costs of £310 to the Crown Prosecution Service and an application made for benefit deductions. The sum to be recovered £405.
