FIREFIGHTERS tackle two fires in Canvey this afternoon.
Crews were called to Somnes Avenue in Canvey and on arrival there were two sets of fire at the scene.
One was affecting the grass and one affecting the bushes.
Firefighters worked for around an hour to extinguish both fires.

A spokesman for Essex Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to Somnes Avenue at 3:16pm.
“On arrival, crews confirmed there were two sets of fire at the scene – one affecting grass and another affecting bushes.
“Firefighters used hose reels to extinguish the fire by 4:16pm.”
