A DEVASTATED owner of a missing cat has been searching for nearly 100 hours, delivering more than 1,000 leaflets and using drones to find his “much-loved” pet.

Mark Cutting, 49, from Vange, is the owner of a 4-year-old cat, Prudence, and has launched a huge social media campaign to find her, with the residents joining him in the hunt for his pet.

Prudence went missing more than six weeks ago on July 4, after not returning home.

Since, owner Mark has set up a campaign “Find Prudence”, which has included searching all hours of the day and urging the community to help him.

He said: “We are truly devastated that she has just disappeared without a trace.

“We have been searching everywhere, on the principle of a square mile.

“We haven’t found a trace of her body, so I believe she is alive, and it could be possible she has also been stolen.

“She is extremely special to us.

“We have had her along with her brother Sonny since they were 12 weeks old.

“Prudence is a much-loved family pet.”

Prudence is a 4-year-old domestic short haired cat; she is mostly white with ginger patch markings.

She went missing on July 4 but was last since on July 24 by owner Mark on Moss Close, although he was unable to catch her.

There is a reward for the safe return of Prudence.

He said: “I started the Find Prudence campaign as a way of creating awareness and momentum around our plight to get her back.”

“I search for hours every evening, including stints between 2am and 5am.

“I have delivered leaflets to almost 1,000 addresses as well as putting up posters in and around the area.

“We have even sent up drones on two occasions to check surrounding areas.

“I would like to appeal to everyone to please check their sheds, gardens, garages, under decking, outhouses, or any other place a cat could hide.

“The reward for the safe return of Prudence is substantial.

“I won’t disclose the amount, but provided she is returned alive and well, there is a reward.”
