Due to urgent repairs to the track between East Tilbury and Tilbury Town, the London-bound line is blocked.
Train services running across the whole c2c network will be cancelled, delayed or diverted.
Disruption is expected until 5.30pm.
Passengers wanting services towards London from Stanford-le-Hope, Tilbury Town and East Tilbury are advised to travel on a country-bound service towards Pitsea, and then travel on a London-bound service from there.
Those who need to travel to London from Ockendon and Chafford Hundred are advised to travel on a country-bound service towards Grays, and then on a London-bound service from there.
Those with journeys which are disrupted by more than 15 minutes may be entitled to cash compensation.
