GET your superhero cape on and prepare for a fun day out in Southend or try out a range of family-friendly activities.

  • There’s plenty of time to clown around at Cicrcus Fantasia opposite the Anne Boleyn pub in Southend Road, Rochford. Book at circusfantasia.co.uk.
  • Kids can enjoy the great outdoors at Hanningfield Reservoir Nature Discovery Park on Saturday for a themed activity. The Billericay park has lined up a host of nature inspired things to do for youngsters aged five to ten. Visitors can meet outside discovery centre at 10am and the session finishes at 12pm.   • Meet artists at the Old Waterworks and and take a peek around their studios. Visitors to the studio open day in Westcliff will get the opportunity to explore the facilities, including the dark room, library and garden.There will be drop-in workshops and artist demonstrations throughout the day, including risograph printing. Taking place tomorrow, the free event runs from noon to 5pm and all ages are welcome at the Old Waterworks, North Road, Westcliff, SS0 7AB.
  • On Saturday there is a Woodland Warriors Outdoor Activity Group for Neurodiverse children and teens. There are places on Saturday for the 11.45 slot at Memorial Park, 42 Rettendon, Wickford. Parents are asked to stay at the activities where the children will be able to participate in a range of activities from balancing, climbing, developing problem solving skills, making crafts, learning about the wildlife and how to safely make fire.   • Southend’s Priory Park Bandstand will be alive to the sound of music. Tomorrow, the Graham Hunter Quartet is playing and on Sunday, Chelmsford Silver Band. Both are on from 3pm to 4.30pm.
  •  All the family can get involved with music, games and activities at the Wildlife and Heritage Event tomorrow. Taking place at Southchurch Hall Gardens, Woodgrange Drive,Southend, it runs from 11am to 4pm and is run by Southchurch Hall Inspirational Parkers (SHIP)
