TWO teenagers have been arrested after being red dotted by police with a taser following a knifepoint robbery.
Officers from Essex Police’s Operational Support Group (OSG) had just got food in Southend, when a man reported to them, he had been robbed at knifepoint.
After seeing the suspects make a run for it, the OSG red dotted them with a taser before arresting the pair.
Essex Police have now confirmed a 15-year-old and 16-year-old have been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in custody.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Two young men have been arrested after a robbery was reported.
“We were called to the incident in Cluny Square, Southchurch, around 9pm last night.
“It was reported that a young male had been threatened with a weapon and had item stolen.
“Officers from our Operational Support Group arrived quickly and detained two young males and recovered items and a weapon.
“A 15-year-old male from Southend, and a 16-year-old male from Romford were arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in custody for questioning.”
