South Essex magistrates have seen a number of cases of drink drivers.

The legal limit is 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Here's our round up of some of the motorists who have been sentenced in courts this month for drink driving on south Essex roads:

  • Kuntida Thompson, of Berry Lane, Langdon Hills, was stopped in Rayleigh Road, Hutton, last month and found to have 42 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The 40-year-old has been fined £293 this month and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £117 as well as £105 in prosecution costs.

She has also been banned from driving for 14 months.

  • Lee Colin Gary Gomes, of Corringham Road, Stanford-Le-Hope was on the A127 on Canvey when he was stopped by police and found to have 114 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The 40-year-old has been fined £50 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £114 as well as £105 in prosecution costs.

He has also been banned from driving for 26 months, ordered to have treatment for alcohol dependency for 6 months and participate in an accredited programme for 19 days.

  • Daniel King, 34 of Southend Road, Wickford, was driving in Cedar Avenue when he was found to have 57 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

He has been fined £750 and banned from the roads for 36 months.

King was also found to have a quantity of cannabis in his possession, which he was fined £200 for.

He has been ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £105 prosecution costs.

  • Marian Sbarcia, of Brights Avenue, Rainham, was stopped driving in Prince Avenue in Southend with 55 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

The 27-year-old has been fined £300, ordered to pay a £120 victim surcharge and £105 prosecution costs.

Sbarcia has also been banned from driving for 16 months.

  • Darren Green, 46, of Linden Way, Canvey was driving in Canvey Heights Way when he was found to have 76 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

He has been fined £120, ordered to pay a £48 victim surcharge and prosecution costs of £105.

Green has also been banned from the roads for 36 months.
