YOUNGSTERS in Southend have a place they can go to play sport, learn to cook and have fun.
The Garon Park Youth Club launched in early August and already has 92 members.
It will continue to run every Wednesday from 6.30pm until 8.30pm at Garon Park Well-Being centre.
Darren Parsons, from KAOS Youth Club, has helped launch the club.
He said: “We have been running since early August, already have 92 members and it’s still the school holidays.
“We have lots of activities including cooking for the young people so we can teach them how to cook basic food. We also have pool, table tennis and football plus crafts and a tuck shop.”
It is aimed for eight to 15 year olds from Southend and costs £3 per session.
