At least 26 properties hit by morning power cut across south Essex
At least 26 properties across south Essex have been hit with a morning power cut.
The UK Power Networks website is showing the power shortage is affecting parts of Wickford, Shotgate, Rawreth, Battlesbridge and Hullbridge this morning.
The website says the power company estimates the power will be back on between 10:30am and 11:30am this morning.

It comes after claims on social media that 12,000 customers were hit by shortages last night after a fire at a substation knocked out the power.
Regarding this morning's power cut the UK Power Networks website says 26 customers are affected, one postcode area is affected and the company has received five customer calls.
