Nando's has revealed plans to give the front of it's popular city centre restaurant a facelift.

An application has been submitted to Southend City Council by Nando's Chickenland Ltd to alter the existing shopfront of its Southend restaurant.

The plans for the London Road eatery include replacement fascia, a new entrance door and tiled entrance area, plus replacement signage.

The plans include a new internally illuminated ‘Nando’s’ sign with antique bronze steel casing/sides with white letters.

There would also be a new internally illuminated rounded Nando's logo sign with a clear lacquered bronze background and white opal perspex and vinyl’s.

A new single timber entrance door and side windows and new feature handles would also be added alongside new tiled upstand.

The chain has plans for other new features to the front such as new windows and a new illuminated antique bronze menu box.

Southend City Council will have the final say on the plans.
