South Essex magistrates have seen a number of cases involving driving and south Essex residents this month.

Here's our round up of the south Essex drivers who were sentenced in the magistrates court this month.

Laurence Lenihan, 60, of Mornington Road, Canvey was sentenced for speeding.

On July 24 2021 at Dartford in Kent he drove a car at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour and the speed recorded was 57 miles per hour.

He was fined £40, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and to pay costs of £85. He was also disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 14 day(s). Discretionary disqualification.

Brett Osborn, 41, of Highwell Gardens, Hawkwell, was sentenced for speeding offences.

On September 11 2021 at the Dartford Crossing he drove a car at a speed exceeding 50 miles and the speed recorded was 57 miles per hour.

He was fined £200 and his driving record was endorsed with 3 points.

On September 25 in Sheerness in Kent he drove a car exceeding the speed limit of 70 miles per hour and the speed recorded was 82 miles per hour.

He was fined £300, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and pay costs of £90.00.

He was also disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months.

Rolandas Danusas, 37, of The Gore, Basildon was sentenced for speeding at the Dartford Crossing.

On February 10 at the Dartford Crossing they drove a vehicle at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour and the speed recorded was 59 miles per hour.

They were fined £220, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34 and costs of £90.

Myah Adepoju, 36, of Falcon Avenue, Grays was in court for speeding on the M25.

On February 14 in Westerham in Kent they drove a car on the M25 Clockwise Junction 5 to Clacket Lane Services, at a speed exceeding 50 miles per hour. The speed recorded was 63 mph.

They were fined £40.

Genna Heath, 37, of Rose Street, Benfleet was in court in connection with driving offences.

It was alleged on January 3 in Chatham she drove a vehicle, at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour. The speed recorded was 40 miles per hour.

This offence was withdrawn.

On February 7 in Maidstone having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Kent Police she failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of exceeding the 30mph speed limit, travelling at 40 miles per hour.

She was fined £660, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £66, pay costs of £90 and her driving record endorsed with 6 points.

Toby O'Brian, 51, of Giffords Cross Avenue, Corringham was in the magistrates court for speeding.

On February 11 in Westerham he drove a vehicle, on the M25 at a speed exceeding 40 miles per hour. The speed recorded was 52 miles per hour.

He was fined £186, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £34, pay costs of £90 and his riving record endorsed with 3 points.
