The publication of Recycling News by Rochford Council is, in my view, too little too late. The cost of postage and printing must be offset by stringent cost effective measures.
My biggest concern is disposal of plastic which can take up to 500 years to decompose.
The castle Road refuse site in Rayleigh will only take plastic bottles. The other platic packaging has to go in the bin.
Residents need to be made aware about glue on envelopes and labels on plastic bottles.
