I and many other Southend residents, will agree with Chris Jones's letter about Southend's disappearing image of a once great seaside resort (Letters, April 2).
Are those in charge going to wait until our town ends up with nothing but tower blocks and empty shops?
I have lived in Southend all my life and have seen what so-called regeneration can do to a once great little seaside resort.
