THE Echo-backed Giraffe Appeal has prompted Tony Cooper to run the London marathon.
The Basildon Hospital appeal aims to raise £30,000 to buy two Giraffe omnibed incubators.
Tony, 32, of Coronation Avenue, East Tilbury, hopes to raise £2,000 for the appeal.
He said: "The work they do there is amazing. They give round the clock care which is fantastic.
"It is a very stressful job and it must be hard for the staff to see vulnerable babies every day, so I wanted to help them."
