“Another woman told police she was there and went to bed and remembers being disturbed by the other woman there.

“She also describes at stage where she woke up and felt someone trying to pull her trousers down.

“She saw the defendant was in bed with her and he was topless and was pulling his trousers up.

“The two women discussed what had happened to them and what he did to them.”

Mr Rose added: “The victim woke up and he was in bed with her and was having sex with her.

“She reacted quickly and swore at him and said she felt scared and got out of bed. We say that he was having sex with her while she was asleep and you may think heavily intoxicated.

“He says the sex was consensual and was doing things and signalling which showed it was consensual.”

Tapfumaneyi denies the charges.
