POLICE confirm they are investigating all allegations and threats made to the Archie Battersbee family.

Hollie Dance, the mother of Archie Battersbee, said there had been “very severe trolling” towards the family since May.

Archie was at the centre of a legal battle before his life support was withdrawn on August 6.

Earlier Ms Dance claimed police were investigating the trolling.

Essex Police were asked by the Echo if they were investigating the “vile comments”, “death threats” and “accusations” made towards the family, and a spokesman for confirmed they were.

A statement by Essex Police said: “Our officers are investigating all the allegations and are working with the family.”

Ms Dance told the PA news agency, that the trolling has been “absolutely awful” and they had even had death threats.

She said: “The police have been investigating since mid-May, so we are hoping a case is building now.

“They are on it.

“We have got over 10,000 screenshots of some of the vile comments and accusations.”

“I’ve had two death threats.

“My son’s been threatened.

“It is just constant, every single day.”

Judges were told Ms Dance found Archie unconscious with a ligature over his head at home in Southend in Essex on April 7.

She thinks he may have been taking part in an online challenge, and he suffered brain damage.

Hollie Dance told the Echo earlier in the week that the family are being targeted.

She added: “We are 100 per cent being targeted.

“One of the worst things that has been done was somebody left a mock boose made out of plastic.

“They are absolutely tormenting the life out of us.”
