Police are appealing for the public’s help after a theft in south Essex where £100,000 worth of jewellery was stolen.

Officers were called to the Brentwood Leisure Centre at around 3.30pm on Sunday October 23 following reports of a theft from a vehicle.

The victim had attended an antiques event at the centre before their car was broken into.

The suspects stole a red and black bag containing jewellery worth around £100,000. £4000 cash was also stolen.

The two suspects walked from the leisure centre towards a nearby car wash on Doddinghurst Road.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "The investigation into this theft remains ongoing and we are appealing for the public’s help to identify these two men, who we believe can assist with our enquiries.

"If you know who they are or have any further information which could assist, please contact us.

"We are also releasing images of the stolen jewellery and encouraging anyone who may recognise it to contact us.
