A police dog was deployed to track down suspects after reports of a knifepoint robbery in Shoebury at the weekend.
Police responded to reports of a knifepoint robbery in Shoebury on Sunday (October 30).
Two suspects had made off from the scene and ran into a park.
Both males were quickly located by Essex Police's dog unit with police dog Axel quickly deployed to prevent their escape.
The pair were arrested.
An Essex Police dog unit spokesman said: "After reports of a knifepoint robbery in #Shoeburyness two suspects made off from the scene and ran into a park.
"Both males were quickly located by our dog unit with PD Axel quickly deployed to prevent escape and secure their arrest.
"Inc 586 of 30th Oct."
