AN UNCLE, who abducted and murdered his 15-year-old niece and refuses to reveal where her body is, has been granted a parole hearing.

According to the Daily Mail, Stuart Campbell, now 64, has been granted a parole hearing in the new year.

He is currently serving a life sentence for the murder of his 15-year-old niece, Danielle Jones, who was last seen near her home in East Tilbury on June 18, 2001.

Her body has never been found, and Campbell has refused to share where he hid her body.

Campbell, a father-of-two, denied any involvement in his niece’s disappearance, but the prosecution produced evidence that he had developed an “irresistible sexual attraction to her”.

He also regularly picked her up from the school bus shop in his van.

Campbell was jailed for life in 2002 for murdering his niece but is now eligible for consideration for parole.

According to the Daily Mail a parole hearing has now been granted.

At the time The High Court ruled that Campbell should not be considered for parole until he has served the minimum of 20 years, and now that he has completed that term, he could be released.

The MailOnline claim he is expected to have a parole hearing in February 2023, and if success could be released weeks later.

The case will be one of the first to go before the parole board since the passing of Helen’s Law, which made it a legal requirement for panels to consider the non-disclosure of the location of bodies.

Campbell’s brother, Alix Sharkey, and Danielle’s family have continuously appealed to the ex-builder to reveal where he hid the body, but Campbell has refused to disclose any information.

Alix Sharkey has alos written a book about his brother's crimes.

The Parole Board has been contacted for comment.
