A woman was left injuries all over her body after suffering a violent attack by two men on Canvey seafront.

The victim suffered injuries to her head, hand, elbow, back and arms after being approached by three people after leaving a venue in Eastern Esplanade, on Canvey in the early hours of Saturday.

She was able to get help from a resident who called the police and officers are appealing witnesses.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "We’re investigating an assault which was reported to us shortly before 3am on Saturday 12 November.

"It’s reported that as a woman was leaving a venue in Eastern Esplanade, on Canvey, at about 1am, she was approached by three people. One of the three people, a woman, took the victim’s phone and smashed it on the ground.

"Two other men then assaulted the woman and she sustained injuries to her head, hand, elbow, back and arms. Thankfully the victim was able to leave the area and sought help from a member of the public, who ten called police.
