TRAFFIC lights on a major road were “stuck on red” for almost half an hour last night, according to an MP.
Castle Point MP Rebecca Harris says she received reports that the Canvey-bound traffic lights on the A13 were stuck on red for “twenty minutes” last evening (November 14) at about 5.25pm.

In a statement on Facebook, Ms Harris said: “I understand there was a collision on the flyover a little while earlier than that which caused additional traffic, but this would have only made the congestion worse.
“I have written to the cabinet member for highways asking him to look into it before tomorrow’s evening rush hour.”
