Southend Airport is updating its parking prices to help "lighten the financial load" over Christmas and winter.
The airport is changing its prices in Long Stay 1 from Thursday, December 1.
Visitors will now pay £5 for up to 10 hours in Long Stay 1 from December 1 to March 2023.
An airport spokesman said: "So, now you can hop on the train at Southend Airport Station and head into London for your Christmas shopping, hassle-and-traffic-free.
"It's only 43 minutes to Stratford (cough, Westfield) via train, or spend a mere eight minutes travelling to Southend Victoria, instead!
"Worth mentioning, there are RMT train strike dates scheduled across Network Rail on 13, 14, 16 and 17 December."
According to the Southend Airport website, Long Stay 1 usually costs £30 per day or part thereof, if you turn-up and park.
A spokesman added: “The local community can utilise our dedicated Southend Airport Station to travel into London Liverpool Street by train (in only 52 minutes), or into the heart of Southend in less than ten minutes for people to shop local.”
