TWO casualties have been assessed after a three-car crash in Pitsea this morning.

Fire crews were called to the A13 slip road in Pitsea at around 9:48 today.

Crews from Basildon, Rayleigh, and Orsett attended and found a crash involving three vehicles.

Firefighters assessed two casualties and make the vehicles and road safe before leaving the scene.

It is believed the people involved were not badly hurt, but crews did advise them to go to hospital for precautionary checks.

A spokesman for Essex Fire said: “We were called to the A13 slip road in Pitsea today at 9.48am.

“Crews from Basildon, Rayleigh Weir and Orsett attended and found a collision involving three vehicles.

“Firefighters assessed two casualties and made the vehicles and road safe before leaving the scene with the police at 10.47am.”
