A popular Italian restaurant in Westcliff has thanked its "amazing customers" as it has closed its doors for good.
Pasta Pia in London Road has been closed permanently, after the Southend branch was shut in 2020 due to the "current economic situation".
This comes after the business was put up for sale in June, with the lease put on the market at a reduced price of £72,500.
Bosses thanked the customers and friends made along the way as they announced the sad news.
The business posted on its Facebook last night: "Pastapia is now permanently closed.
"We would like to thank our amazing customers and friends made along the way and for all the support we have received over the years.
"Grazie Mille."
The "unfussy" eatery offered Italian street eats such as pastas and piadinas, and was popular among residents with more than 350 Google reviews.
