Some south Essex residents may be waiting a bit longer to receive their Christmas parcels, as a firm has warned of delays.

Parcel delivery firm Yodel has warned Essex residents that it may take "a couple of extra days" for them to get their parcels as it experiences delays in some postcodes.

A spokesman for the firm said: "As we head into the busy Christmas period, it may take us a couple of extra days to get your parcels to you in a few areas across the country."

They added: "Our teams are working really hard to deliver all of your parcels to you."
