Drivers are being urged to allow extra journey time this afternoon as they face long delays on a major motorway.
There are delays of more than an hour with 9 miles of congestion on the M25 anti-clockwise between junction 4 (Orpington) and the Dartford Crossing.

There are no incidents in the area, and the delays are due to exceptionally high traffic volumes.

There are also long delays on the M25 clockwise from junction 29 (A127) to junction 31 (A1306). The travel time is 30 minutes according to AA traffic updates.
A National Highways spokesman said: "There are no incidents in the area, and the delays are due to exceptionally high traffic volumes.
"Please allow extra journey time."
