A husband and wife opened an eco-friendly shop in Rochford in the battle against single-use plastics.
Teresa Willis, 41, and husband Jamie Willis, 47, opened Elysium Refill in West Street in July.
The couple, who have six children, decided to make a career change and help make the world a better place by tackling single-use plastics.
The shop offers fresh produce, with the emphasis on customers bringing their own packaging to cut down on waste.
Once customers have picked up their items, their shopping is weighed and they are charged just for the contents, rather than packaging, and plastic like in a normal store.
“We are so proud of our shop, and we really hope it appeals to people.
“We want to make the world a better place for our children, and we really believe that small changes can make a big impact,” Mrs Willis said.
“We want to encourage the community to make these small changes too, ultimately making Rochford, a much-more eco-friendly, and sustainable area.”
