SOUTHEND Airport looks set to announce new passenger flight routes.

The airport will be running easyJet flights to Malaga, Palma and Faro from March.

And in a post on social media this morning the airport has hinted at revealing a fourth destination for this summer season.

On Facebook, the airport posted: “Shh! Don't be blue, we have a secret for you... Come back tomorrow for an amazing announcement. #bluemonday.”

The airport was left without any passenger airline partners in 2020 after the coronavirus pandemic decimated the aviation industry.

Bosses at Southend have been slowly building back, investing in new revenue streams, and securing easyJet’s return.

The budget airline giant ran flights from Southend to Malaga, Palma and Faro from May to the end oof October last year.

And it’s set to return again in March.
