PLAN for success this half term with a host of fun family friendly activities across south Essex.
- Get ready for cuteness overload as Barleylands has lambing week from 11 to 19 February. The kids can get an insight into the joys of nature with new-born lambs at the Barleylands Road location in Billericay. See www.barleylands.co.uk.
- There will be a Family Forest Fun day on Wednesday 15 February from 1pm to 3pm at the Langdon Nature Discovery Centre, Lower Dunton Road, Basildon. See www.essexwt.org.uk/nature-reserves/langdon.
- Enjoy a free augmented reality trail on Southend High Street from Friday 10 to Sunday 26 February. Run by Southend City BID it sees participants help The Luminauts, an interstellar team of superheroes, on an adventure as they find special keys that release 10 gem-eating beasties visable on smart phones. - Southend LuminoCity takes place on Thursday 16 to Saturday 18 February from 5pm to 10pm. The light festival returns with a series of awe-inspiring light installations.
