A 14-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a number of robberies on Canvey.

A white Honda moped was stolen in Benfleet on Thursday, then, on Friday night, a bicycle was stolen from Venables Close, Canvey, before another was taken in the High Street.

At about 1.30am on Saturday a motorbike rider also reported someone stealing their jacket during a robbery in Link Road.

Officers are linking all four incidents and a 14 year-old boy from Canvey has been arrested on suspicion of robbery, theft of a motor vehicle, and possession of cannabis.

He is currently in custody.
