A POLICE cordon is in place and police are on the scene at two roads in Westcliff.
According to residents in the area, it is reported that Brightwell Avenue and part of West Road, off the London Road, are closed.
This is due to a police cordon and police cars in place.

The images of the cordon were taken at around 7:20am this morning.

Currently it is unknown why a police cordon is in place, and why emergency services are on the scene.
However, Essex Police has been contacted for comment by the Echo.
