A man caught driving while banned has been handed a suspended prison sentence.
Harrison Bennett, of Ruskin Road, Stanford-le-Hope, drove a car in the town while banned from driving.
The 31-year-old admitted the offence and was given a 12 week prison sentence, suspended for a year, at Southend Magistrates' Court on January 27.
Bennett has also been fined £200, ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £154 and prosecution costs of £105.
He has been banned from driving for a further 6 months.
