POLICE have launched an investigation into an attempted assault in Shoebury.

A victim, in his 20s, was approached by three people who attempted to assault him.

The incident occurred just after 6pm, on Saturday, February 25, at the junction of High Street and Gunners Road, in Shoebury.

A vehicle was also damaged during the incident.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “We are investigating an attempted assault which took place close to the junction of High Street and Gunners Road, in Shoebury.

“We were called to the incident shortly after 6pm yesterday, Saturday 25 February.

“It is reported that the victim, aged in his 20s, was approached by three people who attempted to assault him.

“A vehicle was also damaged during the incident.

“At this stage, we do not believe any injuries were sustained.

“We need anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam, doorbell or mobile phone footage of it to get in touch.

“Please quote incident 950 of 25 February when providing any information to make sure it gets to the right person as quickly as possible.”
