A MAN has been left seriously injured after being hit by a car and robbed of his bike in Benfleet.
Essex Police is asking for the public’s help following a robbery along Dark Lane, Benfleet, at around 5.30pm on Monday, February 13.
Details on the incident were confirmed this week.
The victim was riding an electric bike when he was hit “by a car travelling at speed”.
The passenger got out of the dark coloured hatchback-type car and took the victim’s bicycle and rode it away in the direction of The Rundles, Benfleet.
As a result, the victim was left was a serious injury.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Officers are asking for the public’s help following a robbery in Benfleet during which a man was injured.
“It was reported that around 5.30pm on Monday 13 February, the victim was riding an electric bicycle along Dark Lane when he was struck by a car travelling at speed.
“The victim sustained a serious injury.
“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.”
